The Daystar Frontier Scholar Scholarship provides financial support from high school through university for outstanding students in grades 9-12. Recipients are not only academically excellent but also inspire others through their actions and contribute to making the world a better place.
Phase I: High School Scholarship Program
Eligibility Criteria
· Application Grade: Grade 8 and above
· Scholarship Award Grades: Grades 9-12
· Academic Requirements: Outstanding
· Ongoing Social Innovation Project
Application Process
· Submit two consecutive years of academic reports.
· Provide two letters of recommendation from teachers.
· Submit a personal statement (200 words).
Scholarship Disbursement
· A 50% tuition reduction during attendance at Daystar High School.
· Recipients are eligible for the year-end "Academic Subject Award" and the "Academic Scholar Award" competitions, but the monetary awards from these cannot be combined.
· Frontiers Scholar recipients are automatically enrolled in the Go Beyond Program, gaining access to its personalized support.
Phase II: University Scholarship Program
Frontier Scholars who gain admission to a world-leading university and meet the ongoing academic and social innovation project requirements during their undergraduate studies will receive an annual innovation fund of certain amount. This scholarship is designed to support students on their journey to change the world.
Eligibility Criteria
1. The student must be admitted to one of the following 13 universities:
University of Cambridge
University of Chicago
University of Oxford
Massachusetts Institute of Technology
Stanford University
Harvard University
Yale University
Princeton University
Columbia University
University of Pennsylvania
Dartmouth College
Brown University
Cornell University
2. Students admitted to the above universities must submit the following documentation to receive the Daystar Frontier Scholarship:
· Offer letter from the admitted university
· Confirmation of acceptance of the offer
· Valid passport/visa and/or other travel documents.
3. For annual renewal after university enrollment, students must submit the following:
· Official university transcript (GPA 3.0 or above)
· Completion of one social entrepreneurship project per academic year, with a report submitted to Daystar Scholarship Committee by June
Scholarship Disbursement
The scholarship will be disbursed annually in September. An evaluation in June will determine if the student continues to meet the requirements for the university scholarship. The Scholarship Committee reserves the right to terminate the scholarship if the academic and social innovation project requirements are not met.
